Being a subscribing member
Plymouth Learning Partnership is a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we do not operate for private profit. Any profit generated is used to grow and develop our services for the benefit of children’s social, emotional and educational needs.
We rely on our unique school subscribing model which supports a wide range of essential school based services such as MAST or Speech & Language.
Being a subscribing member school also means that you receive discounted access to such services.

The benefits of becoming a subscribing member
As well as helping to ensure that PLP continues to offer and develop our essential services for schools, membership also gives your school access to a comprehensive package of services. There is also a 20% reduction in the cost of using services that are outside the package.
PLP Subscribing Membership currently costs £850 per school per year and the package includes the following training, resources and support:
An Exclusive CPD Event
Join Kevin Miller, Chief Humanity Officer at Apex HR, for a focused two hour workshop, highlighting key changes of the Employment Rights Bill. Including new family friendly rights, like neonatal leave and upcoming reforms to unfair dismissal rules, statutory sick pay and zero hour contracts.
PSA Support Network
Regular contact, supervision and training for this key professional role that often absorbs high levels of challenge and emotional complexity.
Emotional Logic – 90-Minute Taster Session
A range of unique practical tools that help people unlock their emotional turmoil and release their energy to move on.
Polyvagal Theory and our understanding of trauma
This training sessions for SENCOs and PSAs will introduce polyvagal theory and aspects of neuro-science that help explain how the nervous system responds, changes and impacts on our response to stress long after a traumatic incident or series of events. We will apply this understanding to the needs of some children and young people who are heavily impacted by trauma to consider the development of effective interventions. The session will be particulary helpful for schools setting up targeted support provision and nurture groups.
Autism Education Trust (AET) Training
Supporting senior staff to question, evaluate and develop autism practice within their settings, and help meet the requirements of Ofsted.
Enhanced Critical and Serious Incident Support
A bespoke and intensive wraparound response for schools and their wider communities in the event of a serious incident.
Professional Support for Headteachers
Rapid supervision to Headteachers and longer term supervision arrangements where requested.
SENCo Support Network
Six weekly specialist network for SENCOs including training and supervision support.
Supply Plus Discount
This includes two days’ cover from our supply teaching service, offered at a 25% discount for all PLP subscribing schools.
Communication Hub
Ensuring that the collective voice of Headteachers is understood and communicated in all city-wide developments.
