Job Type: permanent Part Time, Term Time plus 3 weeks in school holiday periods

Salary/ Grade A point 2 FTE £24,308: Actual Salary per annum £7601.05 per annum 12 hours per week (15:30-18:00 Monday-Friday) – 42 weeks per year (3 weeks in school holiday periods)

Job Start Date: As soon as possible – after pre-employment checks have been completed

Mill Ford is a school that specialises in meeting the needs of children and young adults aged 3-19 with complex needs, including severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex medical needs and autistic spectrum conditions.

We are seeking to appoint a cleaner to undertake cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the school:

• Undertake cleaning in line with specified standards
• Areas to be cleaned are determined by the line-manager according to need, including cover, on a rota basis
• Operate/use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials following appropriate training
• Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely
• Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately
• Handle cleaning materials in line with COSHH regulations
• Collect and dispose of waste
• Refill and replace soap, towels and other consumables
• Undertake specialised cleaning programs during school closures or other designated periods
• Demonstrate cleaning duties or routines to new or less experienced staff
