Site Manager

Salary: Grade E Scale point 15-20 from £30,024
Contract: Full time permanent  
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you a highly organised, practical, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for providing a safe and inspiring environment for young learners?
Due to retirement, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Manager to take full responsibility for the security,maintenance, and upkeep of our school premises and grounds. You will play a vital role in ensuring our school is a clean, safe, and welcoming place for students, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• ‍Maintenance & Grounds: Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and up keep of the school buildings and grounds. This includes conducting minor repairs,managing external contractors for specialist work, and ensuring the premises are kept tidy and presentable year-round.‍
• Health& Safety: Being the lead person for site-specific Health and Safety compliance and record keeping. This involves conducting regular checks and risk assessments, managing fire safety and security systems, and ensuring all legal and statutory requirements are met. Attention to detail in this area is paramount.‍
• Security: Acting as a key holder,being responsible for the opening and closing of the school, and ensuring the security of the site at all times.

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping,or site management, preferably within a school or public building environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Strong practical skills for undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to maintain electronic records,
• A friendly, professional, and reliable approach to working with staff, students, and parents.
