Job Description

Full Time – Fixed Term, Main Pay Scale 1-3

Connect Academy Trust is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teacher to lead a small nurture classroom of up to 10 pupils with learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs from September 2025. You’ll play a vital role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, delivering a bespoke curriculum with thoughtful adaptations to ensure every child can progress and thrive.As part of the Academy Trust there is the opportunity to work in any of our schools, however this post is initially situated at Widey Court Primary School.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs in line with our curriculum.
  • Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment that supports emotional and social development
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies to help pupils thrive
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, ensuring they feel valued and safe
  • Track and assess progress, adapting teaching to meet evolving needs
  • Form positive relationships with parents/ carers and provide regular opportunities for reviews
