Job Description
Fixed Term 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Grade C5 – C7 £13.26 – £13.69 per hour (£25,583 - £26,403 FTE). 29.1 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year Five who requires additional support to access learning and thrive in the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life within our nurturing Church of England school community.
The child requires support with:
- Emotional regulation and sensory processing
- Maintaining focus and engagement in learning tasks
- Managing transitions and changes to routine
- Developing social interaction and communication skills
- Building confidence and independence
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with sensory sensitivities or communication needs Be calm, consistent, and able to build trusting relationships
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised strategies
- Be flexible and responsive to the child’s needs throughout the day
- Support the Christian ethos of the school and contribute positively to our inclusive environment

GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent is essential.
This post is subject to the continued attendance of a pupil who is in receipt of an EHCP for whom the school receives additional funding.
