Catering Assistant

‍Hours: 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, Monday – Friday 11am – 2pm

Salary: Grade A, pt. 2, £12.25 per hour, actual salary £8037 per year

Start Date: January 2025

Bickleigh Down Primary School are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our friendly team to assist with the preparation and service of freshly cooked meals.

We are a highly successful and popular school with approximately 420 pupils on roll. Our catering services are delivered in house, and we pride ourselves on a varied menu providing good quality, healthy food for our pupils.

Duties will include washing up and cleaning, setting up and clearing the hall, preparation and service of meals and operating the kitchen appliances.

Applicants for this role should have good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. You should be able to relate well to adults and children and be prepared to undertake relevant training. Previous experience of working in a kitchen would be an advantage.
